Now through March 31st, drop off your outgrown, underutilized, and/or gently used bicycle(s) of any size at any one of our five Bicycle Sport Shop locations, or to the Austin Yellow Bike Project center in East Austin. (Note: Bikes in all conditions are welcome, though ones that cannot be made ready in time for Earth Day will become part of the Yellow Bike Project's inventory to keep them on their mission of rebuilding and distributing to the community.)
Yellow Bike Project mechanics will then inspect and fix-up into working order as many bikes as they can by April 22. A public release of bikes will be given out to young people attending Earth Day and they get to go home with a new-to-them bike.
Drop off that bike taking up space in your garage/patio/storage room today so that Yellow Bike Project can restore it and give it a new life. Let's get these kids moving and give them the independence, freedom, and pure joy a bicycle can bring. By donating your bike, you pass on everything that you love about cycling directly to someone in need!
