Free Classes, Advanced Curriculum & Personal Tutorials
Bicycle Sport Shop University classes are taught by our professional shop mechanics. We currently offer free, weekly maintenance classes, as well as advanced courses.
While we regularly add classes to our schedule to try to meet the year-round needs of customers, we also offer one-on-one instruction with a custom curriculum to match very specific interests. Our weekly, free maintenance class covers pre-ride safety inspection, wheel removal, tire change, and proper cleaning and lubrication. You'll learn the basics to keep your bike rolling safely and smoothly.
Class Locations & Times
Tuesdays at 9900 W. Parmer Lane, 6 to 7 pm Wednesdays at 10947 Research Blvd., 6 to 7 pm Thursdays at 517 S. Lamar Blvd., 6 to 7 pm
We also offer a free, women-only maintenance class on the first Wednesday of the month from 6 to 7 pm at our Lamar location.

These classes are typically taught by female members of the Bicycle Sport Shop staff and are tailored specifically to women's needs. As the name suggests, only women are allowed to attend this BSSU class.
In addition to the free maintenance class, we also provide more
advanced classes for a fee. These courses provide hands-on instruction,
and participants work on their own bikes in class. For the cost of a
single tune-up, you will leave the class with the skills needed to
service your own bicycle.
