Bicycle Sport Shop University classes are taught by our professional shop mechanics. We currently offer free, weekly maintenance tutorials, as well as basic and advanced courses for $60 and $75 respectively.
While we regularly add classes to our schedule to try to meet the year-round needs of customers, we also offer one-on-one instruction with a custom curriculum to match very specific interests. Our weekly, free maintenance class covers wheel removal, tire change, proper cleaning and lubrication and what you need to take with you on every ride. You'll learn the basics to keep your bike rolling safely and smoothly.

Tuesdays at 9900 W. Parmer Lane, 6 to 7 pm Wednesdays at 10947 Research Blvd., 6 to 7 pm Thursdays at 517 S. Lamar Blvd., 6 to 7 pm
Saturdays on the 2nd and 4th week of the month from 10:00 to 11:00
We also offer a free, women-only maintenance class on the first Wednesday of the month from 5:30 to 7 pm at our Lamar location.
In addition to the free maintenance class, we also provide more
advanced classes for a fee. These courses provide hands-on instruction,
and participants work on their own bikes in class. For the cost of a
single tune-up, you will leave the class with the skills needed to
service your own bicycle.
Our maintenance class series includes a Basic Tune-Up Class, which covers the following:
On the First Wednesday of each month we offer a free basic maintenance class which covers pre-ride safety inspection, wheel removal, proper cleaning, lubrication, what to pack in your saddle bag, and hands on flat repair. Q & A available at end of class. You will learn the basics to keep your bike rolling safely and smoothly.
As the name suggests, only women are allowed to attend this BSSU class.
