Specialized's Roubaix Armadillo Elite provides a fast, comfortable ride with durability to last the long haul. It offers low-rolling resistance, solid grip in corners, awesome all-weather handling and a higher volume for bump-smoothing compliance. And, you get Specialized's Armadillo flat-prevention technology for peace of mind when you're churning out the miles.
The 120-thread-per-inch casing helps this tire conform to the ground for superior cornering and a super-smooth ride.
This tire features Specialized's Dual Radius Tread design. DRT combines an oversize casing with a standard tread for the reduced weight and lower rolling resistance of a narrow tire with the comfort and control of a wide one.
This is a folding tire. Folding tires have flexible synthetic beads, which make the tires lighter for easier acceleration and climbing, plus make them easier to install and remove, too.
These tires helped reduce the number of flats, had 4 in previous set of tires, only 1 with these. But after 8 months and 600 miles, the seams are splitting on both tires. I can see the kevlar. Definitely expected more life from them.
Bottom LineNo, I would not recommend this to a friend
I rode on these tires for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised. The bumps were less intrusive and the one thing that I noticed was that my hands didn't go to sleep. It was like riding in cadillac versus a volkswagon.
