WARRANTY AND RETURNS
Bicycle Return Policy
You may return a bicycle purchased from Bicycle Sport Shop for a refund or credit within 7 days of purchase, except the holiday season when we will accept bicycle returns until January 10th. Bicycle Sport Shop reserves the right to make a full or partial refund based on the condition of the bicycle. We will issue a refund in the same manner the bicycle was purchased. If the bike was purchased with a check we will issue a refund check within 7 business days of the original sale.
We guarantee that any item you purchase from Bicycle Sport Shop will meet your expectations or we will give you an exchange, credit or full refund within 30 days of purchase. This guarantee excludes items used in a manner for which it was not made, abused or installed incorrectly. There are no returns or exchanges allowed on sale items that are marked as such. Proof of purchase is required for any return. All items must be returned in the condition they were purchased in and in the original packaging with the manufacturer's instructions and information.
Item purchased in-store or online can be returned at any of our five Austin area locations. If you are shipping an item back to us please contact our e-commerce department at [email protected] and they will arrange return shipping for your item. Please take the time to carefully package your returns. It is the responsibility of the customer to pay costs related to the repair of returned items damaged in shipping due to improper packaging. It takes 1-2 business days to process an online return after it arrives at our warehouse. You’ll receive an email confirmation when your return is received.
For items eligible for shipping, there is a flat fee shipping rate of $15. Most bikes have vendor restrictions that make them ineligible for shipping. We are not able to ship large items, such as car racks, at this time. We do not ship outside of the contiguous US. If you would like a pre-owned bike shipped to you, contact the Pre-owned department at [email protected] for a quote.
Warranty decisions on these items are many times a judgment call on our part, but we will always give you a generous benefit of the doubt in making such calls. When we believe an item appears to have been abused or used improperly we will say so, but in all other circumstances, you can expect us to go to bat for you with the manufacturer or vendor who supplied us with that item.
If you feel like any product you purchased from Bicycle Sport Shop is a possible warranty due to a defect in materials or workmanship bring the item to any of our five Austin area locations where they will evaluate the item. If you are shipping an item back to us please contact our e-commerce department at [email protected] and they will arrange return shipping for your item. If the item is deemed warrantable we will refund your shipping to us, process the warranty, and cover the shipping to get the item back to you.
